Eating Disorders

Doing the work to move toward recovery can be overwhelming, particularly in a diet-obsessed culture. Support in this process is vital. Through the principles of intuitive eating, and HAES we will work towards your goals of recovery together, breaking free from the grip of the eating disorder. Everyone’s journey is different and that might mean more guidance and structure is needed in order to move towards greater attunement and autonomy. We will move from disconnection to connection through tuning into your own body cues and sensation. We will work to approach your body with gratitude, and connection. Full recovery is possible, there is hope in eating disorder recovery. 

Disordered Eating

We are constantly told that we are not enough and that our relationship with food and exercise needs to be changed. Moving towards healing with food and body means reconnecting with your own innate wisdom to discover a rhythm of eating and movement that supports your mental, emotional, and physical well-being. Freedom from food and body obsession is attainable. 

Intuitive Eating

We will go through the 10 principles of Intuitive Eating. Explore your nutrition story, beliefs, and experiences to move from chaos to attunement with your own body sensation and cues and freedom from food obsession.

Body Image Healing

Body discomfort can often feel like a personal failure, something is wrong with us. That makes sense in a body-obsessed culture. Doing body image work means rejecting diet culture for what it is, reconnecting with our body, practicing gratitude, and getting curious. There are so many experiences that can make us feel betrayed by our bodies; trauma, infertility, medical weight stigma, social constructs of beauty and weight, to name a few. Working through our body story, and the narratives we align with daily we can move from disgust with our body to healing and freedom from the body obsession.
